Natural medicine, also called naturopathic medicine, complementary/ alternative medicine (CAM), holistic medicine, or – in some parts of the world – traditional medicine, especially in regards to herbalism, can be described as using using non-invasive methods in nature to help the body heal from illness and injury. Unlike conventional medicine, also called allopathic medicine, modern medicine or Western medicine (sometimes also called traditional medicine), which seeks to get rid of symptoms or infected body parts through pharmaceutical drugs, surgery or radiation, natural medicine seeks to find and treat the cause of the problem – not just the symptoms.
Another distinction between natural/ naturopathic/ holistic medicine/CAM and conventional/ allopathic/ Western/traditional medicine is that while conventional/ traditional medicine treats just the symptoms or infected parts of the body, natural/holistic/alternative medicine seeks to treat the whole person – body, mind, spirit and soul – viewing all parts and aspects of a patient as valid and connected to each other.

Dr. Chase Albert Neil has been practicing complementary and alternative medicine since 2018, when he first started out as an acupressurist and reflexologist.
After experiencing months of extensive diarrhea and joint pains that prevented him from going to school and performing at an acceptable level, Chase, then a high school classroom teacher, was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in early 2015. The frequent flare-ups affected him so much, persisting despite medication and minor surgery, decreasing his quality of life to the point that he was sorely stressed and depressed and became hypertensive, that Chase started searching for alternative ways to get rid of his symptoms. When he was introduced to acupressure and reflexology in 2018, Chase was so impressed that he immediately started learning, reading the book Acupressure and Reflexology for Dummies before studying a course and obtaining a Diploma in Reiki & Acupressure. Having studied and obtained a Diploma in Life Coaching at that time, Chase combined life coaching with acupressure, reflexology, Reiki and astro-numerology consultations to create Touch Therapy Life Coaching – helping clients to solve life’s problems and achieve goals through life coaching, while dispelling negative emotions and self-concepts and treating minor health symptoms through acupressure, reflexology and Reiki.
