Stronger Than You Know: Healing, Identity and Growth for Teens is a powerful, heart-centered guide for teens navigating trauma, identity, relationships, and self-worth—especially those growing up in Jamaican, American, or multicultural environments.
Written with honesty and deep compassion, this book helps young people understand their emotions, heal from hidden wounds, and build confidence in who they are becoming. Through real-life stories, culturally aware guidance, and practical exercises, teens learn how to:
Recognize trauma and emotional triggers
Heal from neglect, bullying, violence, or family struggles
Build healthy identity and self-worth
Handle friendships, love, school pressure, and family expectations
Create a vision for their future with strength and hope
This is more than a self-help book—it’s a lifeline of wisdom, healing, and empowerment for teens who have survived more than they speak about. A perfect tool for parents, counsellors, youth mentors, and educators supporting teens on their journey to emotional healing and personal growth.
You are stronger than you know. And your healing starts here.
My name is Chase Albert Neil. I was born in the month of October in the year 1985, and from as far back as I can remember, I have always dreamed big. Unfortunately, for much of my life, I had listened to the naysayers and limited myself, but ever since life forced me to slow down and retreat within myself, I have started to materialize my thoughts and inspirations into projects.
Here, on this website, is where I consolidate all my projects and ideas from a number of draft websites and documents. I hope you enjoy a journey through my mind.
So a little about me - I am a maverick of sorts, always being seen as a weirdo and having a multitude of interests. I am interested in education reform, alternative education, sex, religion and spirituality, the afterlife, unusual/new sports, complementary and natural medicine, youth development and empowerment, Christian hip hop/Taoist Christian hop hop, paramilitary uniformed youth groups, politics and governance, poetry and martial arts amongst others.
I have been a classroom teacher for over eleven years, but now only teach online in the days, cover security shifts on weekend evenings as a school relief watchman, and promote preventive and complementary natural healthcare through my holistic medicine/complementary medicine business where I specialize in using Reiki, acupressure, reflexology and herbal remedies to treat sickness. However, I believe that healing bodies and minds while the system is sick, i.e, poor national governance and socioeconomic 'health', makes no sense - we all end up back at square one. So I have taken it upon myself to work with others to seek to heal the system, heal the nation, even as I seek to help heal individuals through my complementary medicine business. The UIC (United Independents' Congress of Jamaica) provides the outlet for this, so I volunteer as a Member of Parliament candidate.
You can learn more about me on my About Me page. In the meantime, check out my projects below:
