ZYRETH Academy (Metaphysical) University, called ZYRETH Academy University or ZYRETH AcademyU (ZAU) for short, is an online institute of higher education which focussed on religious/spiritual and vocational education.

The name ZYRETH Academy is an acronym. ZYRETH stands for ZYPPMAS REAP Tutoring & Homework Assistance Academy. To understand what 'ZYPPMAS' and 'REAP' are, it is important to look at the history of the institution.

History

It was launched as an online university by Commissioner Rev. Chase Neil on January 21, 2024, though it had earlier origins as Commsr Rev. Neil's ZYPPMAS programme started on December 10, 2020 and his RCC Expanded ALISON Programme (REAP) started on May 12, 2022. ZYPPMAS (Zone in on Your Potential through Practical Metaphysics and Academic Support) was an initiative through which Commsr Rev. Neil, having recently gone through a spiritual awakening through the discovery of the Temple of the Tao of Christ, sought to help Grade Six, Grade Ten and Grade Eleven students with studying for external exams, while using meditation, positive affirmations grounded in spiritual-physical reality, belief and prayer to enhance confidence and memory and attract success and positive results. 

On May 12, 2022, revitalizing his earlier attempt in 2016-2017 to create affordable cadet-oriented qualifications and diplomas akin to the CVQO (Cadet Vocational Qualification Organization's) cadet-practical diplomas, Associate degrees and Bachelors, Commsr Rev. Neil had the idea of having Ranger Cadets complete free CPD-accredited courses on the ALISON (Advance Learner Interactive Systems Online) platform and then reach out to businesses and organizations that matched the subjects studied via the Ranger Cadet Combined Corps or in partnership with the St. Mary Youth Innovation Centre so that Ranger Cadet students could gain work experience in the areas they studied on ALISON. This programme was named the REAP (RCC Expanded ALISON Programme). With the government of Jamaica making HEART Trust NSTA courses and programmes free for study up to Level Three (Diploma equivalent level) in 2023, and later up to Level Four (Associate degree equivalent level), REAP became obsolete and redundant for most Ranger Cadets and other youth seeking to gain qualifications.

However, while pursuing his accelerated Bachelors-Doctorate in Divinity and Metaphysical Science with Specialization in Spiritual Healing with the University of Metaphysics and noting the similarities between the beliefs of the International Metaphysical Ministry/University of Metaphysics and the Temple of the Tao of Christ which he founded, and how their tenets confirmed each other, Commsr Rev. Neil had the idea to restart the pursuit of qualifications for Ranger Cadets, approaching it from the perspective of legal religious degrees in the same vein as the University of Metaphysics. This idea was confirmed, as fate would have it, by an ex-Ranger Cadet who wanted to pursue a degree, but did not have the time to study full-time or part-time on a strict schedule and was unable to afford the school fees in traditional brick-and-mortar universities. 

Commsr Rev. Neil then formalized the training programme of Temple of the Tao of Christ ministers of religion as a seminary and additionally adapted parts of the University of Metaphysics religious-metaphysical degree curriculum to offer a religious degree backed by the seminaries of partner religious organizations such as the University Life Church, Church of the Latter Day Dude and the Church of Spiritual Humanism. Combining religious and spiritual studies geared towards attracting success and prosperity as a call-back to the early ZYPPMAS programme and an adaptation of the International Metaphysical Ministries'/University of Metaphysics' system with CPD-accredited ALISON courses as was done in the REAP programme, Commsr Rev. Chase Neil created a tertiary school that catered to workplace/career development through the CPD-certified ALISON certificates and diplomas and also catered to winning in life and character development through metaphysical knowledge and practice. ZYRETH Academy was born from combining the ZYPPMAS and REAP and assisting the first students with completing the ALISON courses and metaphysical programme, leading and supporting them through the course materials, thus the ZYPPMAS REAP Tutoring and Homework Assistance Academy - ZYRETH Academy (ZYRETH also happened to be Commsr Rev. Chase Neil's penname when writing poetry.)

Becoming a University

ZYRETH Academy became rebranded as an online university after not only offering Bachelor, Master and Doctoral equivalent religious courses, but also partnering with the Abdul Kalam University to grant additional accreditation and certification. After completing their bundled CPD-accredited ALISON courses related to their career field, students would complete work experience and build a portfolio, which the now-dubbed ZYRETH Academy (Metaphysical) University would send on their behalf to the Abdul Kalam University (AKU). AKU awards accredited Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE) degrees in collaboration with various French universities and the International Institute of Cambodia University of Technology (IICUT), and this process/collaboration saw ZYRETH Academy University launching as an online tertiary vocational and private religious educational institution.

Success

Through his curriculum vitae and portfolio containing his ALISON diplomas and transcripts and validation of work experience, the ex-Ranger Cadet was able to gain a Bachelor degree in Entrepreneurship and gain employment. Another young man was able to similarly gain his Bachelor degree in Holistic Health Practitioner and start his holistic health practice.
